Macro Fiscal Workshop
Target Audience
Mid to High Level Government Officials of Bhutan in Macro Policymaking.
Qualifications
Participants should have significant experience in macroeconomic policy.
Participants are expected to have a degree in economics or a related field and experience in macroeconomic analysis.
Course Description
The workshop will cover the basics of macroeconomic accounts and analysis of the four sectors - real, fiscal, monetary and external. It will cover the topic of building a macro-fiscal framework in the context of Bhutan.
Course Objectives
This workshop will be targeted at a cohort of mid to high level officials from the Ministry of Finance and other agencies who are members of the Macroeconomic Framework Coordination Committee (MFCC) with the objective to further build their capacity towards macro-fiscal analysis and forecasting. The MFCC coordinates the Government macroeconomic policies.
