Director: David Cowen
Mr. David Cowen became the Director of SARTTAC in September 2020. He previously served in a similar capacity in the IMF Capacity Development Office in Thailand (CDOT). During his career at the IMF, Mr. Cowen has worked on surveillance, lending, and CD issues, mainly in the IMF’s Asia and Pacific, African, and Statistics Departments. Among his assignments in the Asia and Pacific Department (APD) have been division chief for Bangladesh, Maldives, and Sri Lanka and mission chief for Bangladesh, also serving earlier as a desk economist on India.
